November Fermenting : WAZA-LOO, 2009

I know I uploaded this to Tumblr before, but I can’t find it in the archives so I’m doin’ it again. 

This is probably the “best” piece I’ve ever done - the one the most time was spent on, anyway, over the span of a year.  After seeing what could come out of taking the time to do a lot of detail & planning I intimidated myself so much that I haven’t been able to paint like this since then, unable to “top” myself.  But, while I was doing it I hated it & thought it was crap so, you just have to force yourself to get shit done whether you think it’s good enough or not.  I’m working on a series of five 2’ x 5’ paintings in a similar style so expect to see those in 2017…:’C
